עמותת בִּמְקוֹם – תכנון וזכויות אדם נוסדה ב-1999 בידי קבוצה של אדריכלים ומתכננים אשר היו עדים באופן יומיומי לאפליה הממוסדת ולהפרת זכויות האדם שקיימות במסגרות התכנון השונות בישראל ובשטחים הכבושים. מאז, פועלת העמותה לקידום תכנון מרחבי הוגן, המבוסס על עקרונות של צדק חברתי וחלוקתי, כמפתח למימוש של זכויות האדם.
"בצל המציאות המדממת שסביבנו כאן בישראל, בגדה ובעזה, ועל רקע השבר הערכי והפוליטי שחווה החברה הישראלית, אנו מציינות, בתערוכה ייחודית, 25 שנים לפעילות עמותה. הפעילות ארוכת השנים מוצגת באמצעות סיפוריהן של חמש קהילות, שיש בהם גם רגעים אופטימיים והצלחות קטנות. התערוכה חושפת את המבקרים והמבקרות למקומות אחרים ולחיי א.נשים בצל מאבקים ממושכים להכרה ולתכנון.
לצד סיפורי הקהילות, מוצגות בתערוכה עבודות של אמנים ואמניות ישראלים ופלסטינים מהשורה הראשונה, חלקן נוצרו במיוחד עבור התערוכה וחלקן הושאלו לה. כולן יחד מרחיבות את סיפור הקהילות ומאפשרות מבט נוסף על המרחב בו אנו חיים״.

In the shadow of the bloody reality that surrounds us here in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza, and against the backdrop of the moral and political rupture experienced by Israeli society, we are marking, with a unique exhibition, 25 years of Bimkom's work at the intersection of planning and human rights.
We have chosen to present our long-standing and consistent activity through the stories of five communities with which we work; stories which also have optimistic moments and small successes. The exhibit exposes visitors to these places and the lives of people in the shadow of prolonged struggles for recognition and planning.
Alongside the stories of the communities, the exhibition features works by Israeli and Palestinian artists, some of which were created especially for the exhibition. All of them together expand the story of the communities and allow for a unique look at the places that people call home.
